Fable Farm is a working homestead-in-progress in south-central Virginia. It was purchased in 2025 by a group of nomadic women to support ourselves and each other with love, sanctuary, and community in uncertain times, and beyond.
Our goals are to nurture and build our feminist-oriented intentional community; to become as self-sufficient as possible; and to sustain and preserve this land as a haven for ourselves and our larger community.
We have a beautiful, safe, peaceful space here that we want to share with other women. We have a few guest rooms in our community house, and we have spaces for vans, RVs, and tents scattered around our 60 acres.
We also have goats and chickens and perhaps a cat or two to cuddle, and we have sheep and a horse (who aren't quite so cuddly). We have pastures, woodlands, and a creek bottom to explore, and hiking and bass fishing nearby. In the summer, we have dawn chorus at one end of the day and fireflies at the other.
And most importantly, we have community. We're committed to building new ways of living and working together in harmony with the earth, grounded in the creativity and wisdom of women.
